First Kids is a ministry of FBCWP. FBC Willow Park exists to Know Christ and to Make Him Known. In our Children’s Ministry, we accomplish this by having Biblical Content, loving teachers, and gospel-focused conversations. The Children’s Ministry serves Birth-6th Grade
All Sunday School classes at FBCWP use The Gospel Project chronological curriculum. This curriculum shows how the entire Bible points to Jesus. The classes are 2s and under, 3s-Kindergarten, 1st-3rd Grade, and 4th-6th Grade.
During the worship service, your children from birth through Kindergarten can remain in their Sunday School classrooms for age-appropriate activities.
At 10:30, ages 1st grade through 6th grade are invited to join their parents in the worship service. Busy Bags with activities and Sermon Notes for kids are available to help your children during worship.
Security and Safety
Here at FBCWP, we believe that the safety and security of your children is essential to our ministry. Because of this, we are proud to say that every person that serves in our children’s ministry has completed a background check as well as completed abuse awareness training through Ministry Safe.
We also use a check-in program called KidCheck. It is a secure, online system that allows the volunteer to know who is allowed to pick up your child. If you are planning on visiting, you can get a jump start and create an account by visiting bit.ly/fbckidcheck to register.
Wednesday Night Discipleship
Wednesdays @ 6:00 PM | Leaders in Training (L.I.T.), Nehemiah Kids (N.K.), Cubbies
Nehemiah Kids (1st-3rd Grade)
Like Nehemiah, a cupbearer at the court of King Artaxerxes, we want our children to grow up into faithfulness in their walk with the Lord. The objective of NK is to see boys and girls walk by faith by learning spiritual disciplines including quiet time, scripture memory, and prayer. This program supports families in the process of discipling their children.
Leaders in Training (4th-6th Grade)
Leaders in Training is a discipleship program for 4th-6th graders that encourages personal growth in preteens through spiritual disciplines and equipping students for ministry. LITs teaches preteens to learn how to have a relationship with Christ and how to walk with Him in obedience on a daily basis. LITs includes devotions, scripture memory, and prayer.
Cubbies is a ministry of the Awana program that helps children develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word. Each week, kids learn about God, His love, His Word, and His Son Jesus.
